Salvador C. Dela Peña III

This study analysed the appropriateness of the methodological choices in the dissertations of a private university within the past five years Ratings by four ratter’s using a rubric were averaged to determine the level of appropriateness of the dissertations’ research design, sampling, instrumentation, and data analysis. Findings reveal that the dissertations’ research designs, sampling, and instrumentation were less appropriate, suggesting for a better choice of research strategies and techniques. However, the dissertations’ choice of statistical tools for data analysis was appropriate. The findings call for a more careful and thorough dissertation mentoring.
