Multiple Intelligence and Learning Style among College Freshman Students

This study delved into the analysis of the relationship between the dominant type of intelligence and the learning style preference of freshmen students of the College of Business and Accountancy of Liceo de Cagayan University. The study used the descriptive design. The percentage was used to determine the respondents’ dominant type of intelligence, and the frequency count was used to assess the respondents’ learning style preference. The Pearson r was used to determine the relationship of the variables. The study found out the respondents’ dominant type of intelligence was body movement intelligence, while their most preferred learning style was auditory. No significant relationship existed between the respondents’ dominant type of intelligence and learning style preference. The findings suggest a follow-up study to determine the extent of influence learning style preference has on the students’ academic performance.
