Public Knowledge on the Provisions of 2013 Traffic Ordinance in Cagayan de Oro City

The study was conducted to measure the knowledge of the general public about the Task Force Hapsay Dalan, and to assess their level of awareness of the program. Specifically, it sought to (1) determine the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of (a) age of the respondents; (b) Educational attainment; (c) Location of residence; and (d) Occupation; (2) the Level of knowledge of the respondents; and (3) whether there is significant difference in the respondents knowledge if they are grouped according to their demographic profile. In gathering the data, the researchers used the survey type of research. Majority of the resident respondents belong to ages 29-39, high school level, and there are more public drivers than private drivers respondents in the study. Moreover, there are more commuter respondents. In terms of level of knowledge, the data reveal that majority of the respondents have high knowledge on the provisions of HapsayDalan Program. There is no significant difference in the respondent’s level of knowledge when grouped according to their age, educational attainment, and place of residency. However, there is a significant difference when they are grouped according to occupation.
