Level of Marital Empowerment and Satisfaction of Married Women

This study, which was conducted among the married women of Purok 1, Poblacion, Bayugan, Agusan del Sur, examined significant relationship between marital empowerment and satisfaction among married women. The study used the descriptive design with the questionnaire as tool for data gathering. The data were statistically treated using weighted mean, z-score, and Pearson r. The findings of the study are summarized as follows: (1) The married women of Purok 1, Poblacion, Bayugan, Agusan del Sur were moderately empowered, (2) the married women’s level of marital satisfaction was extremely above average, except on the areas of level of intimacy, time spent doing things together with spouse, and communication styles, and (3) there was no significant relationship between the respondents’ level of marital empowerment and level of marital satisfaction
