World Wide Web Activity in Relation with the Levels of Interpersonal Relationship among Information Technology Students

The study determined the relationship between the World Wide Web activities and the level of interpersonal relationship of 145 Information Technology students of Liceo de Cagayan University. The study used a survey method in which a modified questionnaire was used for gathering data that were statistically treated using the percentage, weighted mean, and Pearson r. The questionnaires were distributed and collected by the researcher. The findings of the study were the following: (1) the respondents dominantly used chatting as social Internet activity and blogging as non – social Internet activity; (2) the respondents had moderate interpersonal relationship along openness, trust and intimacy; and (3) there was a significant relationship between the respondents’ Internet activity and level of interpersonal relationship along openness, intimacy, but no significant relationship existed along trust.
