Lawrence M. Sasi

This study determined the emotional stability and parenting preparedness of twenty (20) urban young couples in Kiwalan, Iligan City. The study sought to determine the parenting relationship between the young couples’ emotional stability and parenting preparedness.  The data, obtained through the use of a modified questionnaire, were tallied, statistically tested, analyzed and interpreted using the weighted mean and the Pearson r.  The findings of the study showed that the respondents had low emotional stability. However, they showed preparedness for their parenting role.  It was also found out that there was no significant relationship between the respondents’ emotional stability and parenting preparedness.
