This paper delved on the factors affecting the academic performance of third year Medical Laboratory Science students of Liceo de Cagayan University. The study found that: all of the respondents are single; majority of the respondents are twenty years old, males who came from private schools; regular students; parents have jobs with a monthly income of P20,000 – P29,000;  and passed their subjects with a mean GPA of 2.35; lastly, half of the respondents live in their own houses. The study showed that there was no significant difference in the academic performance of the respondents when grouped according to profile and there was no significant relationship between the factors and academic performance of the respondents. Most of the students cited that they have poor study habits and cannot manage their time wisely. Exerting effort to address these factors would be helpful for students in improving their academic performance.
