Implementation of the Department of Health’s Vaccination Program

This study determined the effectiveness of the implementation of the Department of Health’s vaccination program at the Community Health Center of Bonbon, Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. The study used the descriptive design. Majority of the respondents were within the age range of 17-29. Most respondents are high school graduates and majority of them have an income ranging from P900-P4599. Information dissemination was moderately effective, while the actual vaccination implementation was highly effective by the respondents. There is no significant difference on the effectiveness of information dissemination when the respondents are grouped according to age, number of children, and educational attainment, while the effectiveness of information dissemination was significant only in terms of monthly income. Hence, the implementation of the vaccination program at Bonbon is effective as rendered by the health center personnel. However, there are some activities in relation to vaccination that are needed to encourage more residents to avail of the vaccines provided by the Health Center.
