Students’ Perceptions on the Quality of the University Library

The purpose of the study is to determine the quality of the Liceo de Cagayan University Services Library through LIBQUAL as perceived by the graduating students during the Academic Year 2016-2017 .This research used LibQUAL as a model, an international instrument adopted to local and national libraries.  This assessment instrument measures three dimensions on a scale of approximately 33 aspects of service, namely: Service Affect (SA), Information Control (IC), and Library as a Place (LP) were assessed into 5 scales based on the student choice of acceptance: 5 Excellent, 4 Very Good, 3 Good, 2 Fair, and 1 Poor. (Heath, Kyrillidou, & Askew, 2004).Responses of 421 selected graduating students at Liceo de Cagayan University. Each dimension is assessed by mean scores to determine students’ perception of the University Library Quality.  The findings reveal that all the three dimensions of Library Quality Services were perceived as very good by respondents with the dimension on the Library as a Place considered as most effective followed by Service Affect and Information Control.  Mostly, respondents agreed that Library space has improved learning; and greatly satisfied with the overall quality of the service provided by the Liceo de Cagayan University Library.
