An Environmental Scanning of the Business Industries in Misamis Oriental

An environmental scan was conducted to assess the business climate in Misamis Oriental as a way of providing information helpful to CHED, HEIs and Business Industries in their strategic planning activities. This study surveyed how Misamis Oriental entrepreneurs and managers perceive the impact of the business environment on their operations and what environmental factors they perceive to be opportunity and threat.  The factors considered in this study were supplier sustainability, competitive environment, government support, and external environment. Results of the business environmental scanning show high sustainability of supplies and high influence of external environment on the business operations, External environmental factors highly influence business operations. Interventions are identified to address challenges encountered by the business industries.
