Factors Associated with the Students’ Achievement in Advanced Algebra

The study aimed to determine the factors associated with student’s achievement in Advanced Algebra. This study utilized the descriptive correlational design using the survey method to gather the necessary data at Misamis Oriental General Comprehensive High School (MOGCHS). The respondents were the 192 fourth year high school students. The study identified that the respondents have high sensing-thinking learning preference and exhibited positive attitude towards Advanced Algebra. They were identified to have excellent achievement in the subject and this created that significant effect towards their learning preference and attitude. Based on the findings, the researchers came up with recommendations to accommodate the preferred learning preferences and ways to assist teachers in influencing students to appreciate mathematics.
