The study aimed to 1) present the profile of the BS Criminology Students in terms of gender, year level, type of high school graduated from, place while studying, and family monthly income; 2) determine the learning styles of the BS Criminology students in terms of active, reflective, sequential, verbal, and visual style; and 3) analyze the significant differences in their learning styles when grouped according to gender, year level, type of high school graduated from, place while studying, and family monthly income. The descriptive research design was applied in the study. A descriptive research design deals with a systematic analysis of a situation, a problem, phenomenon, an issue, or a group of people as they exist (Sevilla, 1997). The respondents were (40) criminology students of Liceo de Cagayan University. They were chosen through the purposive sampling selection with the following bases of selection: a) ten students from each year level (first year to fourth year); b) officially enrolled during the first semester, SY 2011-2012; and c) either male or female. The questionnaire on learning style was used to gather the data based on the objectives of the study. It was retrieved from the net via www.mindtools.com. It was given a reliability test to ten students with the result of .89 which means that the questionnaire is highly reliable. The data gathering started after the Dean of the College of Law Enforcement and Public Safety, through the endorsement of the Adviser, approved the study. The data were presented and analyzed through the frequencies, percentages, weighted mean, and the null hypotheses were tested through the t-test and F-test. The dominant learning style of the BS Criminology students is active learning and closely followed by reflective and sequential learning styles. This indicates that their learning is more effective through learning by doing. They also learn more effectively if their learning can be applied to their future career. They also learn better if the topics are presented logically and orderly. The BS Criminology students’ profile in terms of gender, year level, type of high school graduated from, place while studying, and family monthly income have no significant bearing to their learning styles.
