Get Your 8: Healthy Drink
In recent years, people have put emphasis on staying fit and healthy. Since the rise and fame of the cheap and convenient fast foods, we can’t deny that these have caused our society a number of illnesses that can be traced from the diet cokes, hamburgers, and fries that we actually love. However, we feel helpless in choosing a healthy lifestyle which entails regular exercise balanced with healthy home-cooked meals as against the easy choice of fast foods which saves us time, effort, energy, and money even though we know the latter is tearing down our pursuit for a healthy life. With the continuous innovation in research and technology, a new trend that mixes fast foods and healthy lifestyle together has started, supporting a number of campaigns for the different facets of the society, from green and organic food revolution to supporting local-farming communities that supply fruits and vegetables. In the Philippines, a tropical country that boasts a large array of fruits and vegetables, the irony of having a huge chunk of the population struggling to live healthy life styles is evident. This is a clear manifestation of the choices majority of the Filipinos make – fast foods because they are quick and convenient, though unfit and unhealthy. The purpose of this study is to introduce a product that would cater the need of the people for a healthy food alternative, at the same time, accessible and convenient. The proponents aimed to give the consumers a choice between the unhealthy fast food and fresh easy-to-prepare healthy food alternative.
