Emotional Quotient and Ethnocentrism of Maranao Students

This study sought to find out the level of emotional quotient and extent of ethnocentrism of Maranao students in the College of Arts and Sciences, Liceo de Cagayan University. More specifically, it sought to determine if a significant relationship existed between these two variables. A descriptive design was utilized in this present study. Two survey instruments were adapted; one for the emotional quotient and the other for ethnocentrism. As found in the study, the Maranao students had average level of ethnocentrism and below average level of emotional quotient. Further, there was no significant relationship between Maranao students’ level of emotional quotient and extent of ethnocentrism.
