<p>This research investigates the complex relationships influencing intergenerational employee retention within private power generation and distribution utilities in two major cities in the Southern Philippines. Utilizing path analysis and structural equations modeling, two hypothesized models are examined to determine the impact of job resources, job demands, employee engagement, and burnout on employee retention. Analyzing the responses of 256 employees in a cross-sectional survey, findings reveal that while the initial model failed to meet standard fit criteria, the second model demonstrated superior fit, indicating significant relationships. Specifically, employee engagement emerges as a critical factor of retention, influenced by job resources and job demands, while burnout negatively influences employee engagement. The findings of the study further highlight employee engagement as a significant predictor and mediator of retention, regardless of generational differences. Implications emphasize the perspective of employee engagement’s influence on retention, while challenging assumptions of generational disparities and advocating for customized engagement strategies among baby boomers, gen-Xers, and millennials This study, thus, underscores the importance of nurturing positive work environments, addressing job demands, and fostering engagement to reinforce retention across generations. <p>This study describes the creation of a Visual-Spatial Aptitude Test, a crucial component of the Multiple Aptitude Test development project at a Malaysian private university. Despite the value of aptitude testing in career guidance, it has been overshadowed by interest and personality assessments. In response, the HELP Career Readiness Evaluation System (HELP-CaRES) was devised, encompassing career readiness, employability skills, personality, interests, and aptitude. However, initial versions faced challenges in accurately assessing students aged 17-25. This study addresses this age group’s scarcity of visual-spatial items, developing a 30-item instrument called MAT-D (VS) to measure various spatial skills and enhance their real-world relevance in aptitude testing. Confirmatory factor analysis and Rasch analysis on 149 undergraduates demonstrated good model fit and reliability. Subsequent refinements, involving 203 undergraduates, exhibited improved reliability and model fit. Empirical support for Carroll’s three-factor theory in an Asian context emerged. The study proposes further revisions, norm establishment, and application of item response theory models for continued enhancement. The need for further studies underscores the commitment to ensuring that the newly developed tests are meaningful and applicable to actual career contexts in Asia. <p>Lived experiences of couples in an interfaith marriage has not been widely studied as much as it is practiced in multi-racial countries like Malaysia. Considering the sensitivity of the subject matter, little has been known about this phenomenon unlike in the West where it has been openly documented. Using the Interpretive Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) through an in-depth interview with 6 couples, this qualitative study aimed to generate a new understanding and insights into the lived experiences of couples with different religious beliefs, especially in the Malaysian context. The study also examined the challenges faced by interfaith couples, impact of their religious differences, as well as mechanisms by which they adjust to religious differences. Findings as shown in the thematic analysis suggest that perceived fear of rejection, actual initial rejection, and marriage preparation were the challenges faced by interfaith couples. Faith education and religious obligations were found to be the area of conflict among interfaith couples, and that interfaith couples adjust to each other religious differences through the relational attributes and assimilation and accommodation strategies. <p>In today’s time, schools ensure the integration of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching literature classes. As a vital tool for providing quality education, the ICT integration strategy is perceived to be one of the best ways to address several issues related to literary studies such as poor reading comprehension and decreased appreciation. The study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of integrating the ICT strategy using <em>Quipper </em>School in teaching literature among senior high school students. Employing the quasi-experimental research design, a total of 60 students were selected through a purposive sampling technique. Adapted research instruments were utilized to gather data. Results revealed that the students from the experimental group obtained higher pretest and posttest scores than those from the control group. As to their attitude towards literature, the students strongly agreed with the indicator that states the ability of literature to give them new perspectives about society. Furthermore, there was a significant difference in their academic performance between the pretest and posttest of both groups. From the findings, it was concluded that the use of <em>Quipper</em> School is effective in teaching literature as it enhances the student’s academic performance and their disposition toward the subject.</p> <strong><em>Keywords: </em></strong>ICT Integration Strategy, teaching SHS Literature, Quipper School<p> </p>Hezron A. <p>In the era of online learning, students face evolving challenges in effectively communicating, critical thinking, problem-solving, collaborative engagement, and creative utilization of information and communication technologies. This study explores the interplay between oral language achievement, language learning attitudes, strategies, and 21st-century skills among G11 senior high school students at a private university in Mindanao, Philippines. Employing a descriptive-correlational design, 384 participants responded to a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, including mean, standard deviation, Pearson Product Moment Correlation, and multiple regression analysis organized the data. Findings indicate positive oral language attitudes, proficient language learning strategies, and strong 21st-century skills among participants. Notably, social strategy displays a significant relationship and predicts oral language achievement. Recommendations include nurturing optimistic attitudes in online learning, designing activities to enhance language learning strategies and 21st-century skills, and exploring additional factors influencing oral language achievement in future research.</p><p><strong><em>Keywords:</em></strong> Oral language achievement, language learning attitudes, language learning strategies, 21st-century skills</p>Francis John D.
