Political Knowledge and Attitudes of the Bukidnon Tribe

The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of modern information technology on the knowledge and attitudes towards National Government and Governance and International Relations and Politics of Bukidnon Tribe in Kalasungay, Malaybalay City. The study focused on: the level of knowledge and attitudes of the respondents towards national government and governance, international relations and politics, the main source of modern information technology used by the respondents in order to acquire knowledge and information towards national government and governance, international relations and politics, and the significant relationship between knowledge and attitude of the respondents towards national government and governance and international relations and politics . In answering the problems, the study used the descriptive research design employing a researcher-made survey questionnaire for gathering the data, which were analyzed and interpreted using ranking and weighted mean. The findings reveal that the level of knowledge and attitudes of the respondents towards national government and governance are less knowledgeable and positive; while both male and female respondents are less knowledgeable, but males have positive while females have a negative attitude towards International relations and politics. The respondents’ main source of modern information technology in acquiring knowledge and information from both the national government and governance and international relations and politics is television without cable. The study finds that there is no significant difference between the knowledge and attitude of the respondent towards national government and governance and international relations and politics.
