Effects of Rotating Brownout on Small Medium Enterprises in Divisoria, Cagayan de Oro City

The purpose of the study was to determine the effects of rotating brownout on Small Medium Enterprises profit. The study focused on the profile of the Small Medium Enterprise, how much do the Small Medium Enterprises lose in profit in a monthly basis because of rotating brownouts and if there is a significant difference in the profit/loss of Small Medium Enterprise in terms of profiles. In answering the problems the study used the quantitative statistics research design employing a researcher-made survey questionnaire for gathering the data, which were analyzed and interpreted. The findings revealed that the effects of rotating brownout on Small Medium Enterprises profit are affected negatively by the power interruption that they experienced. The study also revealed that regardless of the type of business, monthly income, number of years in the business, the SME’s income productivity was still negatively affected by these brownouts. Finally, there was no significant difference in the SME’s profit when grouped according to their profile.
