This study sought to determine the effect of the crude extract of Orthosiphon stamineus (Balbas pusa) leaves on the urine voidance of male albino mice.  The output of this study was intended to benefit the community as well as other groups of people. One hundred percent (100%) of the crude extract (1000mg/kg body weight.) was administered orally within a period of eight hours to the experimental group while furosemide (5.2 mg/Kg body weight), the standard drug, was administered to the positive control group.  The negative control group did not receive any treatment at all. Prior induction of blood glucose levels was performed on all subjects before the treatments. The negative and experimental control groups did not show any significant change in the urine voidance before and after the treatment. However, the positive control group showed a significant change in the urine voidance before and after the treatment. There is no significant difference in the mean change of volume of urine voidance before and after treatment among the control groups. Hence, the 100% crude extract of Balbas pusa leaves only showed minimal diuretic activity and not comparable to the effect of furosemide.
