Experiences of Travelers in Select Tourist Destinations in Cagayan de Oro City

This study determined the experiences of the travelers visiting a selected tourist destinations in Cagayan de Oro City. The City is an urbanized capital of Misamis Oriental. It also serves as the regional center and business hub of Northern Mindanao. Since the government’s aggressive tourism campaign to foreign and local tourists, travelers arrived in the city are on rising. Numerous hotels of varying categories are present in the city. The researchers used the survey questionnaires that focused on the respondents in terms of gender, age, occupation, and nationality, the length of stay, reason or purpose of travel and preferred activities, and the pleasant and unpleasant experiences of the tourist. The respondents were the people visiting Mapawa Nature Park, Macahambus Cave, and Ultra Winds. The findings show that most travelers on the selected destinations were male in the age bracket of 18-20 years old and students, most of them have not stayed a night and only visit the place because of picture taking purposes and to relax and get away from the city. Majority of the  travelers agreed that they had a pleasant experience while staying at the destination.
