Online classes have become the mainstream of learning. Nevertheless, online learning poses challenges as most students’ learning concepts and environments are new and demanding. Some students thrive on this way of learning, but many do not engage in it. This study investigated the influence of attitude and technological competence on the online classroom engagement of the 117 sophomores of the College of Arts and Sciences at Liceo de Cagayan University during the Academic Year 2021-2022. Specifically, the study determined the following: (1) the participants’ level of attitude towards online learning, technological competence, and online classroom engagement; and (2) and any significant relationship between the participants’ attitude and technological competence and their online classroom engagement. The study used descriptive correlational research design with researcher-made and modified survey questionnaires as tools for gathering data, which were analyzed and interpreted using descriptive and inferential statistics. Findings revealed that the students had positive attitude towards online learning, were technologically competent, and had high level of online classroom engagement. Moreover, the study found that the students’ attitude towards online learning and technological competence were not significant associated with their online classroom engagement.
