Student Services: Its Impact on Student Satisfaction

The primary goal of Higher Education Institutions is to provide quality education to students, however education is just one of variety of the services that the institution may provide to her students.The purpose of this study was to determine the students’ extent of awareness and satisfaction of the student services. This study used descriptive method to measure the variables present in the study for 244 college graduating student respondents. Data revealed that most of the students were aware of the available student services of the institution. Yet, data disclosed that there were students who were unaware of the cashier’s services and resulted also to students’ dissatisfaction of the cashier services. Moreover, data revealed that student awareness, student services, and student satisfaction were significantly related to one another. Among the independent variables of this study, assurance, responsiveness, reliability, and empathy did not impact students’ satisfaction. However, data disclosed that tangibility and Student Awareness were significant to student satisfaction of the student services. Thus, if students’ were unaware of the students’ services it revealed that students were unsatisfied and if the physical facilities in the premises of the higher education institution were not updated it also gives impact to students’ satisfaction of the student services.
