Integration of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to Enhance Academic Capability of Philippine Higher Education Institutions

This paper presents a framework for improving campus management and enhancing academic capability through the integration of geographic information systems (GIS) in the functions of Philippine higher education institutions (HEIs). Institutional units applied with a GIS are described. Methods are briefly discussed to implement the plan as well as to sustain and institutionalize GIS.
