Ethical Behavior and Work Values among Employees of Roads and Traffic Administration

Ethical behavior and work values of employees in any organization play a significant role in dealing with the challenges in serving the people specially in public service arena. The way workers conduct themselves in serving their clients affect the performance of the entire organization; just as it reflects the kind of management that one has. This study aimed to investigate the ethical behavior and work values among employees of the Roads and Traffic Administration for purposes of making corrective measures and boosting up the performance of each enforcer. Thus, this descriptive – correlational study deals with Ethical Behavior in terms Integrity, Commitment, Accountability and Work Values in terms of Dependability, Adaptability, Attitude. One hundred respondents were randomly selected from among the pool of personnel. A survey questionnaire patterned from different sources was utilized to ensure credible results. The significant relationship between the demographic profile and ethical behavior was established specifically along sex and commitment variables. Likewise, the significant relationship between the demographic profile and work values was also established along status of appointment and attitude variables. The study concluded with the affirmation that indeed there is a significant relationship between the independent and dependent variables.
