Lan-Based Inventory Monitoring Management System of Northern Mindanao Medical Center’s Pharmacy

Jan Christian G. Pacana

In this era that technology takes over yet we still see some pharmacies that manually do transactions, inventory and checking of expired dates of medicines and that makes the store so slow and makes problem in tracking of medicines. Their work will be made easy by the System using as a tool to every transactions, inventory and monitoring of almost expired medicines. The proposed Lan-Based Monitoring and Management System for Northern Mindanao Medical Center’s Pharmacy is a system that has lan access for monitoring of their system, and by having that they will make their work faster and easier with dynamic purchases and sales data. The system will also have pop ups for medicines that is almost out dated for them to dispose it or change it for new ones, and also it generates printed reports and charge slips. The project was developed using VB6 for the front-end, and MySQL for the backend. The current system of the company is too time consuming that would line up a lot of people outside for them to wait for their turn to buy the prescribed medicines. It will monitor the availability of product and employees would simply monitor the transactions from the patients.
