Classroom Management Approach of Forensic Ballistics Instructors in Criminology Schools in the City of Cagayan de Oro
The study explores the teaching strategies of Forensic Ballistic Instructors in criminology schools in the city of Cagayan de Oro. The study aimed to determine the profile of ballistics instructors, the right classroom management approach and to find out the relationship between the profile of the ballistics instructor and classroom management approaches. The study used the descriptive type of research involving criminology students, 30 of each criminology schools namely LdCU, COC and CU and 1 instructor from each school. The questionnaire was constructed and administered for reliability test. The study found that effective teachings in Forensic Ballistic Instructions are based upon their profile in teaching and their use of Classroom Management Approach to their students. Classroom Management Approach helps the students and teachers to have a good relationship. The study found that instructors' ability to understand the student helps the student to act positively toward the administration of the subject. Punishment develops hostility towards the teachers, because positive reinforcement seems better for the students. Having both sides' (teachers and students) trust and confidence is the key to achieve the teaching goals of good education. In conclusion, the length of experiences, academic status and educational attainment determine the kind of instructions used to the students. Students in Forensic Ballistic, understand more about the subject by approaching them with some of Classroom Strategies that develop traits, skills and abilities. The Classroom Management Approach helps the instructors achieve their goals in teaching. The student’s response to their instructor is based upon how well they can control the students inside the classroom.
