Acceptability of Curfew in Select Barangays in Cagayan de Oro City: Basis for Barangay Ordinance

The study attempted to determine the acceptability of curfew hours in selected barangays. This study employed different statistical techniques of the data gathered. F-test and T-Test were used to determine the null hypothesis. Weighted mean was used to determine the acceptability of curfew hours. The respondents are composed of one hundred (100) residents  from Barangay Kauswagan, Bonbon and Camaman-an. The study found out that majority of the respondents manifest acceptability of curfew hours to be implemented in their barangays. While they manifest no significant difference on their perspectives when they were group according to age, gender and civil status, there is a significant difference on their perceptions when they were group by nature of work, kind of work, and educational attainment. The respondents moreover generally accepted curfew hours. They even presented their perceived effects on the implementation of curfew hours, and  mostly of them claimed that the conduct of curfew hours would lessen the crime and promote peaceful community.
