Effective Communication on Employees’ Work Performance

The study is conducted to assess whether there is a strong link between effective communication and employees’ work performance among the employees of East-west terminal and public market in Cagayan de Oro City. The study used a descriptive correlation research method to gather information about existing conditions needed in the chosen field of study. A modified structured questionnaire and a researcher-made questionnaire were used to collect the data. There were 100 respondents taken from East-west terminal and public market employees using total enumeration or universal sampling method. The data gathered were measured and analyzed by getting the overall mean of the variables and p-value for correlational analysis. The study revealed a significant relationship between effective communication and employees’ work performance focus among the participants. It was also affirmed that those employees who could have effective communication in terms of completeness, conciseness, consideration, clarity, concreteness, courtesy, and correctness impact and increase their work performance in terms of creativity, decision-making, professionalism, and productivity.
