Best Practices Of Home Based Carenderia (Eatery) Business In River Barangays

Many people nowadays prefer the food served at the carinderia (eatery). Drivers, employees, students and vendors are the customers of a carinderia business. The researchers determined the best practices of carinderia owners regarding financial, operational and marketing practices of a carinderia business in the river barangays of the Cagayan de Oro namely; Balulang, Bonbon, Carmen, and Kauswagan. Formal communication was transmitted to concerned barangay official before the conduct of the study and the consent of the respondents was sought. The purpose of this research was to determine the best practices of home based carinderia (eatery) business in four (4) river barangay of Cagayan de Oro City. The researchers used a descriptive research method. Questionnaires were provided, and an informal interview was also done to obtain data. Most of the respondents were female and experienced tough times in running their business, and they find it hard to manage because they do not have extra financing for their expenses. All of them allocate for savings. About 70% of them based their financial decision on the financial record they had made. However, barangay Balulang, Bonbon, Carmen and Kauswagan Cagayan de Oro City are not experiencing failure in terms on their sustainability of work.
