The study aimed to determine the extent of implementation of the accessibility law in Liceo de Cagayan University main campus. The research utilized an observational analytic cross-sectional method. The researchers together with their selected assessors conducted an actual assessment of the structural features of the buildings constructed together. The assessors were as follows: two (2) engineers, two (2) maintenance personnel, one (1) physical therapist, three (3) law students and two (2) persons with disabilities. The duration of the data gathering was three (3) months. The minimum requirements for outside and around buildings, parking areas, inside buildings and structures, and, safety not fully implemented. The study concluded that there was less implementation on the part of the University in the implementation of the Accessibility Law as described in Batas Pambansa No. 344. Accessibility outside and around buildings, dropped curbs, curb curb-outs, walkways and passageways, handrails, open spaces, signages and crossings should be in place to benefit students with disabilities. On the accessibility on parking areas, placement of disable-friendly parking place should be provided for easy access. On the accessibility inside the building and structure, more ramps are needed with safety rails to support students with disabilities. In campus, washroom and toilets for disabled persons should be provided. On the accessibility of safety, proper fencing in place in areas under construction is needed to avoid future accidents.
