The Safer River Life Saver Foundation Livelihood Programs in the Pre and Post Calamity Period in Barangay Balulang

This paper presents the livelihood program of Safer River Life Saver Foundation in the pre and post calamity period in Barangay Balulang. It attempts to reviewthe program which is gardening as well as the strategies of implementation in terms of seminars and orientation conducted, training and education, coaching, monitoring and evaluation, and logistics and technical support. It also indicates the outcomes of the livelihood programs before and after the Bagyong Sendong in terms of  economics and social conditions in Cagayan de Oro City, Philippines. It shows how the respondent deal with the changes and shift of the livelihood program after the typhoon and ways for the recovery of the affected residents. It indicates the unequal distribution of wealth and the benefits from the foundation. It employs internet research, personal interviews and surveys to the community to gather relevant information and data from the Barangay Balulang residents. It uses the Matrix system in the data analysis and interpretation. It identifies a number of recommendation to facilitate the livelihood recovery of the Sendong victims.
