Household Electricity Consumption and Energy Conservation as Determinants of Consumer Satisfaction in Balulang, Cagayan de Oro City

The research design used in this study is mixed method which emphasizes the qualitative and quantitative approaches of research. This research focused on investigation of the typical household electricity consumption and energy conservation by each family within a given location. In this study, for getting the detail information about house type, number of occupants, type and number of electrical appliances, questionnaire has been prepared. Personal interviewing would be used to better understand and get more specific details about the household’s perception which are relevant to this study. Based on the findings obtain from the present studies, the researcher concluded that the household energy consumption in Barangay Balulang are provided enough services by CEPALCO to sustain their electricity needs however there are some household residents think that they cannot cope up with the electricity services due to the current situation of Mindanao which is the shortage of energy through the natural calamities. With the Household energy conservation, the resident in Balulang are not saving electricity or not practicing energy conservation. The household are satisfied with the awareness of the components of Electric Bill and Customer care provided but doubtful with the electric fair price because they think that the employee from CEPALCO who provide the electric bill are just assume the KWH consume of every household.
