Usage of Social Media

The study conducted to identify the social media accounts of teachers and student respondents. It also aimed to determine the level of importance of the use of social media and test the significant difference on the level of usage of social media websites. This study utilized the descriptive survey design. It was given to the teachers and students of the College of Education of Liceo de Cagayan University, Cagayam de Oro City, Philippines..  The study revealed that the teacher and student respondents use media every day in school and in their profession. It was found out that media affected the education and career of the respondents and it is due to its frequent uses of social media as forms of recreational activity. What is more, the respondents agreed that with the use of social media, it broaden their knowledge and allowed them to encounter many things that they can imagine. Finally, this study also determined teacher respondents use of social media as part of the teaching strategies in the classroom.
