The Use Of Creative Activities In Teaching By Basic Education

This study was conducted to determine the creative activities in teaching used by the Basic Education teachers of Liceo de Cagayan University, Cagayan de Oro City during the school year of 2017-2018. The independent variables of the study were sex, length of service, grade level and subject handled. The dependent variables the 14 creative activities. Also, the students identified significant difference of the profile of the respondents to the usage or integration of the creative activities. The survey questionnaire was the main tool used to gather the necessary data needed in the study. The first is intended to determine the profile of the respondents regarding on their demographic information while the second part is to determine the creative activities used and the extent practiced. Among the 14 creative activities, demonstration was found out to be frequently used in the class while field study ranked last in usage by the elementary teachers. The test of the hypothesis showed that in regards to grade level and subject handled had a significant relationship on the extent of the creative activities to be practiced in the classroom or in teaching.
