The research on “Parental Involvement and Academic Performance” was conceived in order to distinguish the relationship among the following variables such as parent’s profile, parental involvement (type and extent) and pupil’s academic performance. A Descriptive Corelational Design was utilized in this study. It was conducted in 10 out of 13 sections in the sixth grade of Bulua Central School wherein, their parents were the respondents. Fifty percent of the total population was the required total number of respondents. In the selected group, there was a significant difference on the profile of the parents and their extent of involvement by age, wives’ educational attainment and occupation as shown from the data. While the gender, number of children, marital status, husbands’ educational attainment and occupation, husbands’ and wives’ income had no significant difference at all.Eighty-five percent of the Grade 6 pupils were in proficient level and fifteen percent were in developing level as to their academic performance in the third grading period upon the utilization of the K-12 grading system. Involving parents in their child’s academic performance thus provide opportunity of success. Thus, the findings of the study indicate the viability of Epstein’s theoretical framework.
