Filipino’s are easily influenced, especially in the entertainment industry like J pop, K pop and a lot more foreign culture that have influenced the teenagers of this generation. K pop or Korean pop culture is one of the cultures that have recently made its way to the number one spot in the hearts of the Filipino teenagers. These Filipino fans of Korean pop culture have not yet tasted the famous foods, and traditional delicacy of the Koreans and one of these foods is the Dudebokki. Tteokbokki is a beloved Korean dish with many variation and rich history. Translated as “stir-fried rice cakeâ€; this dish has two important ingredients that are “tteok†or rice cake and “gochuchang†or red chili pepper paste. It is called gungjung tteokbokki (“gungjung†meaning “royalâ€), the original version of tteokbokki was once a part of Korean Royal Court Cuisine. This feasibility study aims to give this Korean pop culture fans a complete experience of the Korean culture by introducing one of the famous snack food of the Koreans. “Dudebokki†is a make-up name for the teenagers to pronounce the products name, from the original name of this dish that is tteokbokki also known as ddeokbokki.
